Report of the Parliamentary Committee 2015

In the process of the public consultations by the Parliamentary Committee, two days of hearing was held on May 14th and 19th, 2015.

Essentially, the members of Parliament wondered about the efficiency of the Commission de Protection du territoire agricole du Quebec, the long decision-making deadlines and the justification of the large number of refusals.

The report of the committee has sixteen recommendations which aim to upgrade the Act respecting the preservation of agricultural land and agricultural activities and to soften and accelerate the decision-making process.
